Frequently Asked Questions
When should I come in for class?
Our beginners introduction classes are set up to ensure that there is a time suitable for you. All it takes is a quick phone call or an email to set up your one on one session with an instructor. This will ensure there is someone to take care of you when you arrive and provide your intro session
What do I need to bring for my first introductory class?
Just bring yourself and be ready to have fun. Wear comfortable clothing that you can kick in, as well as a bottle of water. Allow about 45 minutes for the session.
When is the best time to start classes?
There is no time like the present! Our classes run all year round, and we do not have semesters, or terms. Our easy introductory sessions are run on an as need basis. All you have to do is to call now and organise a time that is suitable for you.
How do I get to The Academy of Choi Kwang Do?
Our school is conveniently located near the Townsville city centre on Charters Towers Road, Hermit Park, just near Office Works, and across the road from the Ford dealership. It is a quick drive from Townsville's inner suburbs, and convenient to get to from Ross River Road and Woolcock Street. Check out the Google map for directions.
Where do I park?
Park right out the front of our entrance! There is plenty of well lighted parking along Charters Towers Road and Brodie Street.
Am I always locked into my same time classes and days?
We understand that life gets busy and things get in the way, so to make it as easy as possible for you we allow you to mix and match the day or time of your classes. In other words if you were to usually come to a Saturday class and one week you had another commitment, you can just turn up for a week day class or an extra class the next week. It is that easy! The built in flexibility means that you'll never have to miss your classes if small problems pop up.
Can my whole family have a class at the same time?
Yes, we have a number of different class options to suit you and to get the whole family (Mum, Dad and kids of all ages) involved. We have the option of a family class in which parents can train in the same class as the kids and also have an adults only class available, as well as a special timeslot for 3 to 5 year olds.
